Black steel wire: Black steel wire, also known as high carbon steel wire, has high hardness, and manganese is added to make high manganese ginned mesh to increase wear resistance. Commonly used in mesh for screening mines. Commonly used manganese steels are 45#Mn and 65#Mn.
65# Mn and 45# Mn
65# Mn Steel is a high-carbon manganese steel and is one of the most commonly used spring steels. Manganese can improve the hardenability, the surface decarburization tendency is smaller than that of silicon steel, and the comprehensive mechanical properties after heat treatment are better than carbon steel. The excellent wear resistance of 65# Mn steel ginned wire mesh is mostly used in mining and coal mines and other construction sites with high wear intensity. 65# Mn steel is characterized by high hardness and good wear resistance, but it is brittle. The hardness of 45# Mn is not as good as 65# Mn, but its toughness is worse than 65# Mn steel.
65# Mn steel is suitable for whole weaving or positioning crimped mesh. In most cases, the bending degree of whole weaving or positioning crimped mesh is small, generally not more than 3%.
If the bending degree is greater than 6%, 45# Mn steel is better than 65# Mn steel. If you have to use 65mm, finally use annealed 65# Mn steel, but annealed 65# Mn steel has a wire diameter limit, which cannot exceed 4mm wire.
65# Mn and 45# Mn steel are not suitable for electric welding. If the crimped mesh product needs to be further electric welded after it is finished, it is best to choose iron wire, that is Q235B.
